This is the interview Frank played us in his Jazz History class at CSUS about 1975. Frank was a real mentor to me. I loved him. He took me to see Elvin Jones at Keystone and introduced me. He also wrote my first ever review for a concert I did at Keystone. I miss him a lot.
When he played this in class it was from an old cassette or small reel. Frank forgot to replace the batteries and the tape warbled and played at slow speed. Or was it high voiced? But someone had fixed the problem. Enjoy.
